What to expect
AI Innovators Network, Northern Virginia hosts an evening talk on how AI policy is taking shape around the world. The session compares regulatory approaches in the EU, U.S., China, UK and other countries, and looks at multilateral efforts such as the Hiroshima AI Process and newer UN proposals. It also examines three tensions in the debate: innovation versus safety, national competitiveness versus global cooperation, and voluntary commitments versus enforceable rules. The goal is for attendees to leave understanding how global rules are forming, where the gaps are, and what this means for organizations that operate across borders.
Who should attend
Founders building or selling AI products, especially those with customers or plans outside the U.S., will get the most from this talk. It is also relevant to anyone handling compliance, product or policy questions at an AI startup. If you are new to the DMV, the group is an easy way to meet others working on AI in Northern Virginia.
