What to expect

Bits in Bio DC and DMV Petri Dish are co-hosting a casual happy hour for the DMV life science and tech community, described by the organizers as a chance to nerd out and chill. This Legal Eagle Edition includes a short presentation from the law firm Keller Postman about work as an expert witness, client database manager or document review protocol writer, roles the page notes are not usually posted on job boards. Happy hour specials and the main menu will be available.

Agenda and speakers

  • After attendees settle in, Nicholas Clark of Keller Postman gives a 5 minute talk on what law firms look for in STEM and public policy professionals.
  • Contact information will be shared for Deepa Acharya, a partner and founding member of the Quinn Emanuel DC office, for those interested in cutting edge tech work.
  • Attendees can then speak one on one with Nicholas at a table in a quiet corner and fill out interest forms. Contact details are passed to the firms each attendee chooses.

Who should attend

The organizers list people working in life sciences and medicine, physical sciences and engineering, computer science and technology, and public policy. Founders and scientists exploring consulting or expert witness work alongside a startup may find the session useful.
