What to expect

Follow-On Round is a casual happy hour for people who work in venture capital, hosted by Dan Aliber and Leo Peyronnin. The hosts describe it as a chance to step away from work, catch up over drinks and meet others across the industry. There is no published program, speaker lineup or agenda: the evening is built around informal conversation.

The event is sponsored by JP Morgan and SR Next. At the time of research, the Luma page showed 23 people registered as going.

Who should attend

The listing is aimed at associates, senior associates, principals and others working in venture. It is a peer gathering for investors, not a pitch event. A founder who is new to the DMV should note that the audience is defined as VC professionals, and that every registration is reviewed by the hosts, so it is worth explaining your connection to the venture community when you request a spot.

Venue and access

The happy hour takes place at Takoda in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, DC. The Luma page hides the exact address until your registration is approved, so check your confirmation for final location details before you go.

How to register

Request a spot on the Luma event page. Registration is subject to host approval, so a request does not guarantee entry until the hosts confirm it. The page does not list a start time, end time or ticket price, so look for those details in the approval confirmation or on the event page itself.
