NoVA Create holds its November meetup, Rise and Ship: From Microbakery to Micro-SaaS, at Viget in Falls Church on November 17, 2026. Doors open at 5:30 PM ET and the program starts at 6:00 PM ET.
What to expect
Saad Ahmed will share a personal origin story and a practical guide. He started a microbakery by improving his bread over time and later taught his daughter to bake. The talk covers:
- Launching before you feel ready
- Building with your community
- Using "taste tests" to validate and iterate
After the talk, Salman Sajid and Nick Leach will give an update on NoVA Create's new visual identity. Chris Jones will talk about the NoVA Create Foundry program. The listing says bread will be served. The event will not be recorded.
Who should attend
This event suits makers, side project builders, and early founders who want practical advice on shipping small products and testing ideas with real users. It is also a way to meet the NoVA Create community in Falls Church.
