What to expect

AFCEA NOVA's November 2026 luncheon is billed as a widely attended gathering that welcomes federal government invitees. It starts with a half hour of networking, followed by a keynote with a moderated conversation. The organizer has not posted a specific talk title, so expect the discussion to follow the speaker's work at the Department of the Air Force.

Agenda and speakers

  • 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM: Networking
  • 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM: Keynote

The keynote speaker is Theresa Terry, a director in the Office of the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force (the event page gives two versions of her title). The moderator is Rebecca Garcia, Senior Regional Sales Director covering the US Air Force, TRANSCOM and STRATCOM at Gigamon.

Who should attend

The luncheon suits government contractors, technology vendors and founders who want to understand Air Force priorities and meet people in the Northern Virginia defense market. You do not need to be an AFCEA member to attend. Federal invitees are advised to get written approval from their agency designee first.

Venue and access

The luncheon is held in Training Center Room 2E at Carahsoft Technology, 11493 Sunset Hills Rd, Reston, VA 20190. The event page does not include parking details.
