What to expect

Strive Networking hosts an open-format, in-person business networking mixer at Max's Taphouse in Baltimore. There is no formal program or speaker lineup. You can arrive at any point between 6:00 and 8:00 PM, check in at the designated space, pick up a name tag and start meeting people. Bring business cards, since the organizer recommends them. The dress code is business casual, which the organizer describes as job fair attire.

Who should attend

The event is multi-industry and draws business-minded people such as consultants, analysts, bankers, software engineers, entrepreneurs and people looking to get started in business, with attendees from arts, finance, tech, real estate, healthcare and other fields. For a founder new to Baltimore, it is a low-pressure way to widen your local network beyond the startup scene, find service providers or early customers, and get a feel for the city's broader business community. It is not a startup-specific or investor event, so set expectations accordingly.

How to register

The event is listed on Meetup, but tickets must be purchased through Eventbrite. Refunds are available up to 24 hours after purchase, unless the request falls within 48 hours of the event start. Refunds go to the original payment method, though PayPal fees are not reimbursed.
