What to expect

This is a joint meetup of Data Visualization DC and Data Science DC, both run by Data Community DC. Information designer Paul Kahn takes the audience through seven books produced between the 12th and 20th centuries, written in Arabic, Catalan, Latin, German, Chinese, French and English. Each one tried to organize and picture what was known about the world in its time. The goal is to compare their design systems with the visualization patterns used in digital products today.
